While the town of Wesley Chapel, North Carolina, has only been incorporated since 1998, settlers began making their way to the area in the 1750s. They came from Germany, Great Britain, and Pennsylvania and took advantage of the fertile soil. Originally called Price's Mill Community, the name Wesley Chapel first appeared on a Union County map in 1907 and was taken from 1832 built Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Today the city is ranked as the 6th best place to live in Union County and the 31st best suburb to buy a house in North Carolina by Niche.com. The population here has grown over 26% since 2020, and for good reasons. Job growth here is expected to increase by almost 45% over the next ten years, and the average household income is already almost double the national average.
